It has been 12 years since Spirited Away won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. It was Studio Ghibli’s biggest success and is still the highest grossing film in Japan. It amazed a lot of people with its animation and it inspired many to make films that are similar.

The Grammys: one of the few nights of the year where musicians and other famous folk flock to one place for mass mutual pats on the back. There’s plenty to say about February 8, the night of this year’s celebration of popular music (as is the case with most of these events).
Meatless Monday: Baked macaroni and cheese, with a kick!
For those out there who like it a little spicy, here’s my own, personal recipe for baked mac and cheese. If you prefer your meals to be a little tamer, just use normal mozzarella and regular cream cheese instead of the spicy variations that I have listed.

There’s good news for women who are afraid to get tested for hepatitis C, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). As part of the STOP HIV Initiative, Stride with Purpose at the Lower Mainland Purpose Society received funding from the Fraser Health Authority to organize four women’s testing events in the Lower Mainland.
