Ode to IUD
It’s been six months that we’ve been together, and I never knew how cared for and carefree I could be until you entered my life. It was difficult and even uncomfortable at first. I was nervous, palms sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy, but I knew that it was right—or at least, that I would never find out if it was right unless I gave it a shot.
Winners of awards in the subjective art mean nothing
It’s the first few months of the year, and that means awards season. The Grammys, showcasing the best in the music business, aired February 8 and the Oscars are upcoming, showing us what the best movie performances and productions of 2014 were.

The 57th Grammy Awards retrospective
The Grammys: one of the few nights of the year where musicians and other famous folk flock to one place for mass mutual pats on the back. There’s plenty to say about February 8, the night of this year’s celebration of popular music (as is the case with most of these events).
Meatless Monday: Baked macaroni and cheese, with a kick!
For those out there who like it a little spicy, here’s my own, personal recipe for baked mac and cheese. If you prefer your meals to be a little tamer, just use normal mozzarella and regular cream cheese instead of the spicy variations that I have listed.
DIY Beauty: Make your own mascara
I would like to start this DIY Beauty by stating that I was inspired to find a way to make mascara after hearing about some beauty guru on YouTube making their’s out of crushed-up Oreos. For the record, making mascara out of Oreos is incredibly dangerous, and should not be done—ever!
