Student Ambassadors presents: Douglas Halloween Haunted House

By Naomi Ambrose, Contributor

If you’re looking for some extra scares this Halloween, then check out the first ever Douglas College Halloween Haunted House! The event, which is organized by the Student Ambassadors, will take place on Halloween day, Wednesday October 31 in room 1313 at the New Westminster campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If students can make it to the end of the terrifying maze, they can enter to win a $50 gift card for Metrotown. Don’t forget to dress up, because prizes will also be given away to the best dressed.

According to Student Ambassador James Bytelaar, “the Haunted House is open to students and faculty alike… our main focus for this event is to get more students involved with each other on campus, as well as with the campus itself. Using a common interest for many people, Halloween, we plan on building community through shared experiences on campus.

“The event was planned by the Student Ambassadors for the rest of the student body, so not only is this an enjoyable experience for the students and faculty, but it is also a means for the students to see what they could accomplish by getting involved on campus. We want this to be memorable; it should be something that people talk about for months.”
