It was the first week back from the break for both the men and women’s volleyball teams.
It’s an exciting week for sports. Hockey is hotter than ever and the NFL has their conference finals, but for Douglas fans, nothing is quite as exciting as this weekend’s lineup for the Royals.
Disappointment is the only word I can think of when I look back at this year’s summer Olympics.
The hopes were never high for the new expansion league teams. While the Seattle Seahawks inaugural season was slightly better than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was only so by a bit.
As always, it’s been quite the year in sports. So, as we start into 2016, here’s my list of the top 10 sports related events of 2015.
The first week of the New Year greets us with an exhilarating set of basketball games. While everyone else has been taking part in holiday festivities, the men and women’s basketball teams have fitting in practices and exhibition contests wherever they can.
It’s that time of year. The festive season is over and the new year is just beginning. But some of us are still stuck in the past.
It truly has been a year of equality—one up, one down—for the Royals. The women’s soccer team went to Nationals and the men bowed out. The men’s basketball team went 0-5 before picking up wins, and the women have just dominated.
Sometimes, records are only a number. For the women’s volleyball team, who will be ending a year at 6-6, this is definitely true.
