The Douglas College menâs basketball team lost their only game this past weekend to the number one-seeded Langara Falcons by a score of 89â78. They currently sit in seventh place in the standings with a 2â4 record and four points in six games. This Friday the Royals host the Quest Kermodes at 8 p.m. and on Saturday they host the Capilano Blues at 8 p.m.
The womenâs basketball team captured their fifth win of the season against the Falcons this past Friday by a score of 60â46. The Royals are off to a great start this season with a 5â1 record and 10 points in six games, making them second seed in the standingsâtwo points behind the league-leading Capilano Blues. They will host the Kermodes this Friday at 6 p.m. and the Blues on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The menâs volleyball team had back-to-back wins in their matches against the UFV Cascades this past Friday, 3â0, and Saturday, 3â1. They are sitting comfortably in first place of the PACWEST division with an impressive 11â1 record and 22 points in 12 games. Their next games are not until January 4 and 5 against the Camosun Chargers.
The womenâs volleyball team suffered back-to-back losses in their matches against the Cascades this past weekend, with a 3â0 effort last Friday and a 3â2 match on Saturday. They are sitting in sixth position with a 3â9 record and six points in 12 games. Their next matches are home games on January 4 and 5 against the Chargers.
