Student elections took place the week of March 9, when students were eligible to vote for their next Douglas Students’ Union representatives.
Over 600 students participated in this year’s vote, with all members of the Students First party winning again this year. Replacing members of last year’s Students First party are Amado Raquel as women’s liaison, Garaline Tom as aboriginal liaison, Christopher Budzynski as external relations coordinator, Derek Goundar as internal relations coordinator, Karan Bains as treasurer, Marni Mcmillan as pride liaison, and Makailey Preston and Pardeep Jaswal as members-at-large.
At the David Lam campus, the March 18 Game Expo was being promoted by Douglas students. The event will be happening this week at the Coquitlam campus with prizes to be won. The Expo takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature various takes on board and card games as well as video games.
