You down with The OP? (yeah, you know me)

Few would argue against the old adage that ā€œsex sells,ā€ but some may question why weā€™ve chosen to make this, the July issue of The Other Press, our first Sexy Sexy Sex issue in our discernable historyā€”after all, The OP is free.

Sex is ubiquitous, consistently newsworthy, and (in my opinion) at the forefront of the minds of 99 per cent of our readers. What better time than the sweaty, sun-drenched throes of July to pique the sexual curiosity of our pages? Without getting pornographic, each section of this monthā€™s issue will feature some full-frontal coverage of some sex-tacular subject matter: like Natalie Serafiniā€™s exploration of the social fallacy of virginity, Angela Espinozaā€™s review of the Museum of Vancouverā€™s Sex Talk in the City exhibit, Sophie Isbisterā€™s look at sex positivity on campus, Elliot Chanā€™s romantic saga of Quiznoā€™s-themed erotic fiction, and Jacey Gibbā€™s scintillating feature on modern-day male circumcision.

My hope is that, along with our regular college and community coverage, this issue titillates your heart and mind for your reading pleasure.
