Why: It’s become more than a television show; it’s become a milestone in pop culture. Newer shows like House of Cards and Masters of Sex could also give the veteran a run for its legacy.

The Big Bang Theory
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Girls
Modern Family
Parks and Recreation
Who will win: Parks and Recreation
Why: Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been killing it in their freshman season. The Big Bang Theory will be a close second though.
Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama
Julianna Margulies – The Good Wife
Tatiana Maslany – Orphan Black
Taylor Schilling – Orange is the New Black
Kerry Washington – Scandal
Robin Wright – House of Cards
Who will win: Robin Wright
Why: Wright’s perfect as the cold, subtle wife of Kevin Spacey’s leading man. Also, it feels like Julianna Margulies always wins; time for a fresh face.
Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama
Bryan Cranston – Breaking Bad
Liev Schreiber – Ray Donovan
Michael Sheen – Masters of Sex
Kevin Spacey – House of Cards
James Spader – The Blacklist
Who will win: Bryan Cranston
Why: Give Cranston one more for such an important role in television history, though they all have a great chance of winning.
Best Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical
Zooey Deschanel – New Girl
Lena Dunham – Girls
Edie Falco – Nurse Jackie
Julia Louis-Dreyfus – Veep
Amy Poehler – Parks and Recreation
Who will win: Amy Poehler
Why: When it comes to comedy, Poehler takes it without a doubt.

Jason Bateman – Arrested Development
Don Cheadle – House of Lies
Michael J. Fox – The Michael J. Fox Show
Jim Parsons – The Big Bang Theory
Andy Samberg – Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Who will win: Jim Parsons
Why: Everybody loves Sheldon. Of course, Samberg’s nomination is another vote of confidence for Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Who will win: Behind the Candelabra
Why: It’s getting a lot of nominations and buzz, though I personally would go with American Horror Story: Coven.

Helena Bonham Carter – Burton and Taylor
Rebecca Ferguson – The White Queen
Jessica Lange – American Horror Story: Coven
Helen Mirren – Phil Spector
Elisabeth Moss – Top of the Lake
Who will win: Jessica Lange
Why: It’s the only one I’ve seen, but Lange definitely deserves it.

Matt Damon – Behind the Candelabra
Michael Douglas – Behind the Candelabra
Chiwetel Ejiofor – Dancing on the Edge
Idris Elba – Luther
Al Pacino – Phil Spector
Who will win: Michael Douglas
Why: His performance was so good, it was almost distracting. Judging from his work in 12 Years a Slave, Ejiofor also has a pretty good chance.

Jacqueline Bisset – Dancing on the Edge
Janet McTeer – The White Queen
Hayden Panettiere – Nashville
Monica Potter – Parenthood
Sofia Vergara – Modern Family
Who will win: Monica Potter
Why: It’s about time somebody from Parenthood got recognition, and I don’t agree with Sofia Vergara getting nominated. Too bad for Mae Whitman, who also stars in Parenthood and deserved a nomination as well.

Josh Charles – The Good Wife
Rob Lowe – Behind the Candelabra
Aaron Paul – Breaking Bad
Corey Stoll – House of Cards
Jon Voight – Ray Donovan
Who will win: Aaron Paul
Why: “‘Sup, bitch!” Although, Stoll did an amazing job in House of Cards.
