The Douglas College menâs soccer team defeated the Capilano University Blues on Saturday by a final score of 2â0. They tied the VIU Mariners on Sunday 1â1. After the first two weeks into the season, the Royals sit atop of the standings with eight points.
The womenâs soccer team had a very successful weekend with a huge 5â1 win over the Capilano Blues on Saturday, and then went on to defeat the Mariners 2â1. They are third in the standings with six points.
Both teams square off against Quest and Langara at home next weekend at Town Centre Stadium  near the David Lam Campus. The menâs team will be playing at 3 p.m. on Saturday against Quest and on Sunday at 3 p.m. as well. The womenâs team will be playing both days at 1 p.m. against the aforementioned teams.
